Life Support

Does life revolve around alcohol or drugs?
Is there a growing need for more?
Does using cause feelings of importance?
Is the morning after filled with depression?

  • Tom knew he shouldn't, but joined his buddies to smoke pot.
  • Joe grew up in family's alcohol use and he began to drink beer as a preteen.
  • Bob's successes led him to use drugs to enhance his performance.
  • David, beaten as a child, used alcohol/drugs to treat his emotional pain.
  • Maria abused as a child used drugs to numb her wounded soul.
  • Shirley ended up with a DUI, probation, and legal troubles.
  • Patty's husband took the children leaving her in her drug use.
  • Joan ended up daily numbing her anxieties with too much wine.
  • Donna lost her job due to alcohol and drug abuse.
Life Support is a 3 month intensive approach dealing with abuse and dependency to addictive habits: how to cope with stress, solve problems effectively; rethink rather than use, identify feelings, express them productively, develop marital stability, develop dynamic work or school habits, learn how to make good decisions, resolve depression & anxiety, increase esteem (value), improve communication & assertion skills, form new friendships, address finances & legal problems, learn to play without using, improve health & physical vitality, set and achieve goals.

Take the test . . .

            • stealing others prescription drugs . . .
            • stealing to buy alcohol or drugs . . .
            • gambling or shoplifting . . .
            • lying about where or who you're with . . .
            • using porn and more . . .
            • defensive, demanding, argumentative?
            • changes in sleep, eating, personal care?
            • troubles with family, friends, workers, authority figures?
            • accused of doing things, don't remember?
            • growing secrecy about using?
            • hiding a stash of alcohol or drugs?
